Year 7 University Workshop

On the last day of Module 3, the Year 7s completed their University workshop by presenting their ideas to a panel including Mr Leahey.

The panel were impressed with the knowledge and work that the students expressed through a talk and poster presentation.

Well done to all involved, the workshop has been a real success.

Coronavirus Public Information

Please see below information that we have received from the Department of Education which they have asked us to send out regarding the Coronavirus.  The Department for Education have asked us to reassure you that:

“The government is closely monitoring the spread of the Coronavirus and is taking action at home and abroad.  The overall risk of Coronavirus and to the UK remains moderate.  However, we understand that people may be concerned where there are children, students or staff returning from or visiting China.”

Their  advice is as follows:

“You should not be unduly worried about the possibility of your child/children catching the Coronavirus. There is no reason why your child/children should not continue to attend their early years, school or further education setting as normal.  We recognise that some families or children may be planning to travel to China during the forthcoming half term period.  If so, please refer to the FCO’s latest travel advice via the link below.”

Please help support the campaign by following the advice on the attached poster.

We would also like to reassure you that we do make hygiene a priority and especially at this time we will be reinforcing the importance of:

  • Thorough hand washing using soap and water
  • Coughing or sneezing into a tissue and then disposing of tissue in an appropriate bin

We would really appreciate you reinforcing these messages at home too.

Thank you for your continued support.
