“I am extremely proud of our Year 11 GCSE students reaching their potential across all their subjects at The Leigh UTC. We have improved our performance from 2016 with our strongest set of academic outcomes”.
Our A*-C has improved in 70% of our subjects since 2016 and notably we have improved our A*-A by 68%. Our students achieved at least 2 grades better than predicted from their previous school demonstrating the UTC’s rapid progress being made at Key stage 4.

“One of our core aims is to get more girls into engineering and IT, our girls have excelled this year and will be future role models for those choosing STEM careers”. Following on from the excellent Post 16 results last week, and the large number of students being employed in jobs within engineering and IT or going to university, we are delighted. As this is our second year of results, it’s extremely impressive how our UTC is developing. We will be taking our first students from age 11 in September 2017.
