This week we had the privilege of welcoming the charity, Charlie’s Promise, to The Leigh UTC for an eye-opening and emotional talk on the reality of knife crime.
Martin, a father who tragically lost his son Charlie, has dedicated his life to educating young people on the dangers and consequences of carrying a knife.
His powerful message left a lasting impact on our Year 9 and 10 students, reminding us all of the importance of making positive, informed choices. Conversations like these are vital in creating safer communities for young people.
Thank you, Martin and Charlie’s Promise, for your courage, strength, and commitment to change.

Please comment and share on your profiles to spread this incredibly important message.
Following this presentation, we have been inundated with students talking to our staff and getting in contact with the charity about the want to support and raise funds and awareness for the charity. This will be our charity of choice to support in Term 3, if you have any ideas as to how we can do this, please comment below.
