COVID-19 Advice

Dear Parents/Carers
We appreciate that as the number of UK cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) increases our staff and parents grow increasingly concerned. As a result, the Leigh Academies Trust are launching an email hotline so that staff and parents can ask questions or raise concerns directly with the Trust.
Email hotline:
If any of our parents/carers are contacted by Public Health England because of a potential risk we would appreciate it if you could call the academy so we can make a record of it.  We will then liaise with Public Health England and follow their advice.
We appreciate as parents/carers this may be a worrying time but please be assured we are doing everything we can to protect our whole school community and at the present time there is no need to self-isolate unless you have had contact with a confirmed case, have travelled from a category 1 area or have travelled from a category 2 area and have a fever, dry cough and breathing difficulties.
If you are still concerned the Department of Education is operating a special hotline for parents/carers which you can contact on 0800 046 8687  from 8am to 6pm (Monday to Friday).  At the present time we would ask that you do not contact the academy directly unless you are informing us that you have been advised by NHS 111 that you need to self isolate and be tested.
Parents/carers will be notified immediately should we have any suspected or confirmed cases of infection within the academy but until this point we would encourage you to remain calm and follow the Government’s advice on prevention.
