I hope you are all staying safe and had a good Christmas break.
Following the announcement from the Secretary of State on 30 December regarding the delayed return of some pupils to colleges and schools in January, the DfE has clarified what this means for BTEC learners expecting to sit external assessments in January.
We are writing to inform you that In line with the DfE’s recent announcements, BTEC exams will go ahead. The schedule of exams attached has also been issued to your son/daughter by their subject teachers.
The revision sessions would be taking place during their online learning w/c 4th January and your son/daughters teachers would be in touch with them via Google Classroom. Attendance to the online sessions is vital in order to prepare for the external assessments. Following these exams, you will be provided with the outcome via MCAS depending on the results date set by the exam bodies.
Please support your son/daughter to prepare for the exams by encouraging him/her to put extra time for revision. We will continue to work closely with you to support our students as they undertake their assessments.
I’d like to take this opportunity to wish you all the best for 2021.
Please be advised that AM exams start at 8.30am and PM exams start at 1.30pm. Students should arrive at their exams 15 minutes before to allow for a prompt start.
