Tuesday 10th March saw the final of the Made in Bluewater Challenge. Hosted at the Bluewater Management suite and sponsored by the centre owners Land Security Group, the competition was facilitated by The Ahead Partnership.

A number of teams of year 10 students from three LAT Academies, Longfield Academy, The Leigh Academy, and The Leigh UTC participated having attended the competition launch back in January. The competition brief was to design a refillable water branded for Bluewater along with a social media campaign and marketing pitch. Environmental friendliness and sustainability were very much key to this task. The winning team will have their product made and will then sell the bottles at Bluewater with monies raised going to a charity of their choice

Teams from the three academies attended a refresher on the brief and took the time to practice their pitches in readiness to present to the panel of judges who were all key members of the Bluewater team. Following some very impressive presentations from our teams, judges took the time to deliberate and the worthy winners were team Everyone Bottle Counts from The Leigh Academy. Congratulations to all competing students for a very close run competition.
