Leigh academies have come top for value added in almost all categories in areas of the South East where the Trust operates in post-16 provisional performance tables published last week.

The top performing maintained school at A Level overall in the whole of Kent and Medway was Sir Joseph Williamson’s Mathematical School in Rochester with a value added score of +0.34.

The best non-selective school in Kent and Medway for applied general qualifications was The Leigh UTC in Dartford which scored +0.46. T Level results at the UTC were also exceptional in 2024 with students achieving an average of a Distinction*-. Mascalls Academy in Paddock Wood topped the table for technical levels in Kent and Medway with a score of +1.33.  This also places Mascalls in second place of all schools in England.

Meanwhile in Greenwich and Bexley, the two other boroughs in which Leigh Academies Trust operates, Leigh Academy Halley in Kidbrooke had the highest score of +0.28 when comparing all schools for academic qualifications.

These achievements, which place Leigh academies in first place across a range of qualification types and in different parts of the South East, are exceptional. Leigh offers a diverse range of programmes for post-16 students across its various centres in the region, including A Levels, IB Diplomas, applied general qualifications and T Levels. These provide students with an excellent springboard for university, apprenticeships and employment.
