New Vice Principal Mr Alamu Introduction

A small group of Leigh UTC students are shown working at a desk with pens in their hands, whilst a staff member observes them.

Dear Parents/Carers,

I am pleased to introduce myself as the new Head of College at The Leigh UTC. I am incredibly honoured to be serving your children, your community, and your families. It is a privilege to have been appointed by the governing body and entrusted with the job of leading the Inspiration Academy.

I am thrilled to be joining the strong community of staff, students, and parents/carers at The Leigh UTC. I recognise that I am joining a unique school with a strong focus on ensuring the best outcomes and destinations for the children in this community. I would like to take this opportunity to reassure you that the vision for and ethos of the UTC as defined by Mr Leahey will continue to be of utmost importance to me and my team. We will continue to have your child’s absolute best interests at heart in all our decision-making over the months and years to come.

From my experience I know that a successful school depends on all of us working together. I am excited to be working alongside the talented staff, leaders and governors at The Leigh UTC who are committed to securing the best outcomes for the children we serve. I intend to do my utmost to uphold and build upon the values that make the Inspirational Academy and the UTC a special place to be.

I will be holding an assembly on the first day of the spring term to introduce myself to the students. I really look forward to meeting you all in due course and working in partnership with you to achieve the absolute best for your children.

Yours sincerely,

Mr Gabriel Alamu
Vice Principal
