UPDATE: Parent/Teacher Day Event

Dear Parents/Carers,

We would like to inform you about our first Parent and Teacher day event on Wednesday 9th December 2020. The day will run between two sessions 8:30 am – 11:30 am and 2:00pm – 5:00pm.

In light of the current pandemic, this will be held over the phone, not at the Academy premises as to previous events. As this will be the first parent/teacher day this academic year, so it is important you book a telephone appointment. The Parent-Teacher appointment will give you the opportunity to work together with your son/daughter’s subject specific teacher  to review progress to date. It provides the perfect opportunity to address any issues and make any necessary plans for the future to support your child in each of his/her subject areas.

Please note this event is for Year 11, 12 & 13 – all other year groups – Y7, Y8, Y9, Y10 are to work from home on Wednesday 9th December 2020.    ALL students are expected to complete the work set for them which can be accessed via Google classroom, by their teachers, during the day, except  when they are with their parents/teachers for the teacher telephone appointment.

In order to book your phone appointment, you will need to book this through the My Child at School website: https://www.mychildatschool.com/MCAS/MCSParentLogin, or alternatively through the app which is available to download from the Apple or Google Play store. Simply search for MyChildAtSchool and follow the instructions on your mobile phone.

These appointments will be available to book from Thursday 3rd December from 2pm. On the day the phone call will only last for 10 minutes and your child’s teacher will call you at the allocated appointment time that you have booked. Please book a suitable time that is convenient for you and your son/daughter so that they are present during the discussions over the phone. If you are unable to attend, it is an expectation that an alternative appointment will be made on a different day with the teacher.

Yours faithfully,

Mrs. Rekhi
