Welcome back to all years

Year 7

Dear Parent / Carer,

It gives me great pleasure to welcome year 7 to the Inspiration Academy to start their secondary studies with us.

Before we can start, government advice states that all students will need to have a COVID test in school. Therefore, all students are asked to join us on Tuesday 31st August 2021 to take a COVID rapid flow test. Each student will need to arrive at school at their allocated time, entering the school through the side gate leading to the Inspiration Academy. Students will be able to leave and return straight home once they have completed their test. Each test takes approximately 5 minutes with students being seen in alphabetical order within their tutor group.

Please see below for your child’s allocated time:

  • Students in 7S – please arrive at 8am
  • Students in 7T – please arrive at 9am
  • Students in 7E – please arrive at 10am
  • Students in 7A – please arrive at 1pm
  • Students in 7M – please arrive at 2pm

As a Trust we have employed Health Care Assistants who help conduct the tests. These individuals are fully trained to administer and support students taking a test. Due to the age of year 7 students, all tests will be conducted by these professionals. In order to give consent to the test, parents/carers will need to complete the LAT consent form for COVID-19 testing form.

The first full day of school will be Wednesday 1st September. Students should be in the academy ready to line up at 8:20am.

Yours faithfully,

Mr D Freeman | Head of College
