I hope that this email finds you well, having enjoyed a relaxing and safe break.
It is with gratitude for your support of our COVID-19 recovery measures that I am writing to inform you of our progression to the next phase in English.
As a department, we are pleased that students have had exposure to appropriate content and are happy with the dedication and resilience demonstrated by our students in approaching our English Literature text, ‘Romeo and Juliet’.
In light of quality of work produced and our progression through the syllabus, we have been able to regroup classes to further support students in making further progress.
Students will be moving on to examining, ‘A Christmas Carol’ and are encouraged to bring their personal copies to their English lessons, along with requisite equipment, outlined in the UTC equipment checklist.
Year 10 students have been advised of their updated English classes, today.
I am deeply interested in your reflections of how supportive you feel the process has been to our Year 10 students so far and would welcome any specific feedback from all parents. With this in mind, I will be releasing a parent survey for parents to share their children’s successes and comments for improvement in English.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me via email: firstname.lastname@example.org
I would like to thank you for your continued support.
