Community Christmas Appeal

A small group of Leigh UTC students are shown working at a desk with pens in their hands, whilst a staff member observes them.

Dear Parents/Carers,

We hope this letter finds you well. As we head towards Christmas, we would like to take this opportunity to inform you about the return of our Community Christmas Appeal at The Leigh UTC.

This year our charity will be starting at home and we will be asking staff and students to help contribute to our appeal by donating items of food and toiletries that we will make into hampers for families within our Leigh UTC community, who may need some additional support over Christmas. Any surplus we have will be donated to the food bank run from St. Edmund’s Church on Temple Hill and St. Alban’s Church on East Hill to then support the wider community.

As always we would be very grateful for any support you can give us. If you feel able to donate any food or toiletry items, then please ensure items are non-perishable and in date until the end of December. At this time of year seasonal donations of mince pies or selection boxes are also welcomed. If any items donated could please be left at the main school reception in the IA building, then we will ensure they are collected every afternoon after school and begin to put our hampers together.

We hope that this will be a successful appeal allowing us as a community to make a difference and thank you in advance for your support.

Kind Regards,

Simon Richter
Assistant Principal
