‘Exceptional Achievement in T-Levels and Beyond: The Leigh UTC’s 2024 Success Story’
The Leigh UTC is delighted to announce exceptional results for its cohort of engineering and digital T Level students. These pioneering students have showcased exceptional technical skills and industry readiness, achieving remarkable success in the course equivalent to three A levels.
Complementing this achievement, our business studies students have also excelled, demonstrating strong academic performance and securing impressive destinations. Their dedication and hard work are commendable.
Our engineering and digital T Level students have also secured impressive destinations, including top universities like Loughborough, Brunel, Kent, and CCCU, as well as prestigious apprenticeships with industry leaders such as Kenard Engineering, Mackley Construction, AWE and National Grid.
A remarkable 82% of our T Level students achieved an overall grade of either a Merit or Distinction, with 29% securing a Distinction. Students studying our BTEC business Diploma (double award) also excelled, with 88% achieving Distinction* Distinction. In A level maths, a commendable 60% of students achieved a grade B or above.
This outstanding performance reflects the hard work and dedication of students and also the expertise of our teaching staff, who have worked tirelessly to equip students with the knowledge and skills demanded by industry. Our strong partnerships with local employers have also been instrumental in providing students with invaluable real-world experience.
